Public Health Division, Department of Health, WA

 

Description

The Public Health Division of the Western Australia Department of Health aims to promote health, prevent disease, and manage health-related risks. The focus of public health is on prevention and early detection, rather than on clinical care; it looks at the whole population, rather than the individual. In this way, public health complements and works with clinical care.

This Division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of a wide range of State-wide public health policies and programs such as:
