Road Safety Commission

Description

The Road Safety Commission (RSC) was established 1 July 2015 to replace the Office of Road Safety. The RSC aims to harness the knowledge, expertise and interest in the community to reduce trauma on Western Australian (WA) roads. The primary function of the organisation is to deliver the State Road Safety Strategy 2008 - 2020 Towards Zero.

This strategy determines the focus, strategic goals and priorities for service delivery of the RSC.

Towards Zero aims to improve road safety through four cornerstones:

The RSC is involved in a range of projects which address Aboriginal road safety, and produces resources for Aboriginal people in WA, including an Indigenous drink driving and licensing kit.
