Description

The Department has the responsibility for developing and providing the strategic planning and growth frameworks, strategies and infrastructure plans required to sustainably develop the Territory.
The department provides an integrated approach to service delivery through the Northern Territory Lands Group and the Northern Territory Transport Group. The latter is responsible for licensing and registration; Northern Territory roads; public transport; transport safety; taxi and private hire; and has a Transport Policy Division.
