HealthInsite is Australia's gateway to a wide range of up-to-date and reliable online health information. It was developed and managed by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing from its launch in April 2000 until December 2009, when it was transferred to the National Health Call Centre Network Ltd (NHCCN). The NHCCN was established as a public company by all Australian governments to deliver a 24 hour a day, seven day a week, national telephone triage service (healthdirect Australia).
