Mental Health Association QLD
Description
The Mental Health Association QLD (MHAQ) provides early intervention mental health services and programs that support the community to make mental health connections, develop mental health literacy, and participate in employment as a foundation for recovery. The organisation offers a range of services under three broad categories:
- mhConnect
- information and referral service for up-to-date information and referral to mental health services throughout Queensland
- health promotion campaigns encouraging people to take action to improve their mental health and wellbeing, such as Stress less
- fact files and information kits for mental health issues
- Gold Coast support groups - anxiety, depression, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder, and dads in distress
- mhParticipate
- participate in prosperity program - Hero's journey project (pre-employment support program)
- mhLearn
- Australian College of Community Services - providing various mental health and community services training and education.
The information and referral services provided by MHAQ are Queensland wide, and programs operate in the Brisbane, Logan, and Gold Coast regions.
