Description

Based in Broome, the Kimberley Community Drug Service Team also has offices in Derby and Kununurra, and provides regular outreach services to outlying communities across the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Services offered include:

• counselling for individuals, families and communities
• support to other human service providers through consultation and shared care management
• development of early intervention and harm minimisation strategies with key agencies
• professional development and training in addiction
• support for schools dealing with alcohol and other drug use issues
• education and program development in response to identified community needs
• community development approaches to support local communities with alcohol and other drug use issues.
