Anex

Description

Anex is a program of Penington Institute, a not-for-profit organisation advancing health and community safety by connecting alcohol and other drug use research to practical action.

Anex aims to strengthen policy and practice in relation to needle and syringe programs (NSPs) and other strategies to improve the health and well-being of those who use illicit drugs. These programs are central to efforts for reducing blood borne viruses such as HIV and hepatitis C.

The Anex program provides training, support and leadership in harm reduction strategies to the health workforce including the communicable diseases, alcohol and other drugs sector. Networking forums are provided to support exchange of new information, helping service workers stay current with their practice.
