The Cancer Council Australia is a national non-government cancer control organisation and includes eight state and territory cancer organisations, working together to undertake and fund cancer research, prevent and control cancer and provide information and support for people affected by cancer.
This organisations early detection and prevention programs aim to help people quit smoking, protect themselves from the sun, eat healthier foods and engage in physical activity to reduce the risk of cancer.
Cancer Councils are the leading independent funders of cancer research in Australia.
