SecondBite

Description

SecondBite is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need by redistributing fresh food to community programs across Australia.

Food is donated by farmers, wholesalers, markets, supermarkets, caterers and events, which is redistributed to community food programs that support people who are homeless, women and families in crisis, youth at risk, Indigenous communities, asylum seekers and new arrivals.

The organisation also invests in research and development departments to create sustainable solutions to the issue of food security, as well as running programs that address this issue.
