Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI)

 

Description

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is a government organisation that provides advice to the Minister for Health on the Immunise Australia program and other related issues.

In addition to technical experts, ATAGI's membership includes consumers and general practitioners.

ATAGI is responsible for producing the Australian Immunisation Handbook for the approval of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

ATAGI consults and collaborates with other bodies including the National Immunisation Committee (NIC), Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA), Advisory Committee on Prescription Medicines (ACPM) and the Standing Committee Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medicines (ACSOM).
