Kinchela Boys' Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC)

Description

Kinchela Boys' Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC) aims to assist Kinchela men, their families, and communities recover their identity, dignity, and wellbeing. This includes as-full-as-possible reconnections of members to families, communities, culture, and land.

KBHAC recognises the legacy of members' experiences of removal and also their harmful experiences in Kinchela Boys Home (KBH). A strong focus of KBHAC programs is the healing of unresolved trauma and suffering, including the inter-generational effects. KBHAC works to empower KBH members to take greater control of their future and assist them to improve the quality of their lives.
