The Western Australian Substance Users Association Inc (WASUA) is a peer-based drug user organisation representing illicit drug users. WASUA uses a community development and harm minimisation service delivery approach. Its services include:

• needle and syringe exchange program (Perth and South West region)
• street-based outreach program
• health clinic (free hepatitis B vaccinations and testing for sexually transmitted infections and bloodborne viruses)
• education, training and support services for health workers
• telephone information service
• hepatitis C and illicit drug use peer education projects
• information/counselling on treatment options and supported treatment referral service
• opioid pharmacotherapy (methadone, buprenorphine)
• advocacy and complaints service
• needle and syringe safe disposal project.
