Ny-Ku Byun

Description

Ny-Ku Byun is an aged care hostel that is located in Cherbourg, Queensland. The name means "this place belongs to me". The facility provides safe, adequate care for disabled and elderly persons who are unable to manage in their homes and who require some daily assistance. Ny-Ku Byun also provides accommodation to the public for overnight or short stays, depending on availability of rooms.

The hostel accommodates up to a maximum of 25 clients, and provides self-sufficient rooms with emergency hand rails and call buttons. A small range of activities is offered to encourage equality, respect, independence, and - if given permission by immediate family - to engage residents with community events and promote a healthy social life. Clients pay a fortnightly boarding fee, which is determined by government standards and guidelines, and which covers three daily meals and domestic services such as washing, ironing, and room cleaning.
