Dementia Care Australia

 

Description

Dementia Care Australia (DCA) is an independent information and education organisation that provides support to people with dementia and their carers. The term carer is used to broadly to include family members, professional carers, employers, or friends.

DCA strives to ignite the Spark of Life in people with dementia and those who care for them. DCA provides varying services relevant to people with dementia, home carers, and professional carers. Examples of the services available include: free newsletters; memberships; an online shop; forums; professional education and development programs; and the Spark of Life certificate course.

DCA also provide an information service via their website. Such information would be of interest to people with dementia and their carers and examples include: what is dementia; communication; effective daily routines; and activities and therapies.
