Alzheimer's Australia aims to improve equity in access to services and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with dementia and their carers through consultation and an all-of-life approach to risk reduction and successful ageing. The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Dementia Advisory Group (NATSIDAG) provides Alzheimer's Australia with ongoing consultation and advice to improve services and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. NATSIDAG was initiated from a National Consultation and paper Beginning the conversation - addressing dementia in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in November 2006.
