Central Queensland Indigenous Development
Description
This non-profit organisation assists Central Queensland Indigenous individuals, communities and organisations with social and economic development through a variety of services, including:
- A Rockhampton based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) designed as a flexible delivery RTO to suit Indigenous clients at all levels of ability.
- A generalist Job Services Australia (JSA) provider specialising in assisting with Indigenous employment issues and advice who are capable of setting up Indigenous Employment Strategies (IES) and Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP).
- Holistic Outreach Support Services (HOSS) who appoint a Community Support Worker who operates on an individual level with clients to enhance community and individual wellbeing.
In addition to these services Central Queensland Indigenous Development runs a yearly Reconciliation Carnival where over 20 teams from central Queensland compete in a 13-a-side rugby tournament to promote reconciliation through sport.
