Lung Institute of Western Australia Inc.

Description

The Lung Institute of Western Australia Inc. (LIWA) is a leading research organisation dedicated to fighting diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or emphysema (as it is more commonly known), bronchiectasis, lung cancer and pneumonia. The LIWA aims to better understand why lung disease occurs and how it can be treated. It does this through world class laboratory and clinical research which is contributing to improved treatments for conditions like asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis and lung cancer.

LIWA's internationally recognised scientists and clinicians conduct research to better understand and treat lung disease.
