Description

Detour House is a supported accommodation service which provides a three month program to women who have experienced alcohol or other drug dependency. The program is 12 Step based and is set in a safe, supportive environment to assist clients in the transition process as they move on to independent living. All women who meet the admission criteria, regardless of religious or cultural beliefs, sexual preference, transgender identity, political affiliation, disability or HIV/AIDS status, are admitted. Priority is given to women who are Aboriginal, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) and who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
