Description

INTRA is a non-governmental, community based organisation funded by the Australian National Illicit Drug Strategy. INTRA operates on the Far North Coast of New South Wales and provides a range of outreach services for those affected by drug use. Services provided by INTRA include:

• assessment and referral
• individual counselling
• treatment, support and topic groups
• community development
• early intervention
• consultancy, support and training for other staff
• education and information programs.

INTRA also delivers health promotion activities aimed at preventing harm caused by the use of drugs. An example of this is the Wake up time arts project working with Aboriginal women.
