Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC)

 

Description

The Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC) is an Aboriginal community controlled organisation that provides services to enhance the quality and accessibility of culturally appropriate health care for the the local Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. The services are delivered in Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Childers, Miriam Vale and Mt Perry in Queensland.

The services provided by IWC include projects to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander access to mainstream health services and strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, development of a cultural education package for health care providers and a brokerage health service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
