Lagaw Gub

 

Description

Lagaw Gub is the first Torres Strait Islander Education Kit and has been developed as a way to share information about the rich cultural heritage of Mua Island and in particular the work of Dennis Newie.

Lagaw Gub means Island Wind in the language of Mua Island St Paul in the Torres Strait.

Lagaw Gub is designed to be used by teachers wishing to embed Indigenous perspectives into their classroom practice.
