Scholarships are available from Palliative Care South Australia (PCSA) to support the attendance of South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, health workers and nursing assistants at the biennial Australian Palliative Care Conference.
The next Australian Palliative Care Conference will be held in Adelaide from 6th – 8th September 2017. The conference is a gathering of up to 1500 palliative care clinicians, researchers, administrators, health advocates, volunteers and people interested in end of life issues. This year’s theme is Connection with communities.
The scholarships of $2,000 each include conference registration with the balance available to support travel, accommodation or other attendance expenses.
PCSA has offered these scholarships since 2013 for attendance at the national conference. From 2018 scholarships will also be offered for the SA state Palliative Care Conference held in the 'off year'.
Scholarship applications for the national conference can be lodged with Palliative Care South Australia by email, fax or post and must be received no later than May 30th 2017. See application form, below.
