Commissioner's Aboriginal scholarship program

 

Overview

The WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) performs a critical role in managing a range of emergencies on land, by sea and air. DFES works with community and government agencies to improve community resilience, safety practices and provide timely, quality and effective emergency services.

Two annual scholarships of $5,000 are offered to undergraduate and postgraduate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants in WA who are completing a unit in emergency management or a field that contributes to Aboriginal community resilience.
