Obesity prevention awards

Overview

The CO-OPS obesity prevention community awards aim to showcase initiatives that have demonstrated excellence and leadership in community-based approaches to the prevention of obesity. The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate success and recognise best practice in obesity prevention.

Applicants need to demonstrate how they have applied each CO-OPS best practice principle (BPP) to their initiative. The principles will be used for marking criteria and applicants are strongly encouraged to refer to the CO-OPS BPP document when writing their application. CO-OPS BPPs include:

Community engagement award
Individual award winners of the community engagement award will receive:
  • a featured article in The Link, CO-OPS' official newsletter
