PhD scholarship - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health - expressions of interest

 

Overview

This PhD scholarship is offered by Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute, an independent, internationally renowned medical research facility. The successful applicant will be based at Baker IDI's Central Australia research facility in Alice Springs, NT.

Current or prospective PhD students are invited to submit an expression of interest for the scholarship to conduct full-time research in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Applicants should be currently enrolled in a PhD program at any Australian or New Zealand university or should intend to enrol in Semester 1, 2014.

The successful applicant will be involved in supporting Baker IDI's Centre of Research Excellence mission to understand and address inequalities in the burden of heart disease that leads to poorer health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
