Aboriginal nursing cadetship program

 

Overview

WA Health offers an Aboriginal cadetship program for Aboriginal tertiary nursing students. Cadets have the opportunity to gain paid work experience as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) while completing their undergraduate degree. It is also an ideal way to lay the foundations for a career in WA Health. Successful applicants will need to have successfully completed the first year of their studies to be eligible. As part of the cadetship program cadets will be required to complete hospital based placements of 60 days over a 12 month period (2 semesters) working as an AIN.
