Overview

This training program is FPWA's core sexual health training program. The Nuts and Bolts of Sexual Health is suitable for a range of people, including those working in health, education, and Aboriginal communities.

Essentially the training program provides participants with the fundamental knowledge they need to work in the area of sexual health. An example of some of the areas covered in the training program include: male and female reproductive systems, sexuality through the lifespan, sexually transmissible infections, and safe sex.

Successful completion of the Nuts and Bolts of Sexual Health training program provides participants with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment under the VET system. Graduates from the program can undertake more advanced sexual health training programs.
