Diploma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges (DATSIK)

 

Overview

Target audience: People who are working, or would like to work, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations and communities, or in government departments and agencies, or private enterprises that are involved in Indigenous affairs.

This diploma course provides an opportunity for students to engage intellectually and in hands-on ways with concepts and practices based on Indigenous knowledge systems. The units promote the exploration and practical application of knowledge from the rich cultural traditions and contemporary social experiences of Indigenous people. The course aims to:
