Aboriginal child health upskilling course - Kununurra - expressions of interest

 

Overview

Target audience: Aboriginal Health Workers, Remote Area Nurses, Midwives (Community), Maternal/Child Health Support Workers, Liaison Officers, Generalist Registered Nurses (who don't have a Child Health Nurse qualification), Practice Nurses, Mental Health Professionals and General Practitioners/ Registrars who are involved in delivering Aboriginal Child Health Services in Western Australia (WA)

 Course summary:

This four-day course focuses on enhancing the foundation knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals to deliver an Aboriginal Child Health program which supports vulnerable Aboriginal families and children under 5 years of age. Modules include:

Sessions include practical ‘hands-on’ demonstrations and the interactive application of commonly used child health tools and Aboriginal-specific resources.

The course will be held from Monday 10 February to Thursday 13 February 2014.

Expressions of interest close 30 January 2014.
