Connecting cultures - cultural awareness training

 

Overview

Target audience: People who are working with or interested in gaining knowledge about the language and culture of Aboriginal people of the Midwest, Murchison and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia (WA)

Course summary:
Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community Aboriginal Corporation (Bundiyarra) is an umbrella group and resource agency situated in the Midwest of WA. Bundiyarra's training is designed to improve and enhance participants' knowledge about Aboriginal people and develop a respect for cultures. During this one-day course, participants engage with up to five local Aboriginal facilitators. Topics covered include:

Bundiyarra are able to tailor a program to an organisation's specifications (e.g. health or education) and present at the organisation's premises (by arrangement).

All particpants receive a Certificate of participation 'Connecting cultures' and a 'Yamaji card'.
