Overview

Target audience: Non-Aboriginal people who work with Aboriginal clients or communities, including in community services, social services, health and allied health settings

Course summary: This course, which can be customised for specific groups, equips participants with the ability to work in culturally safe ways with Aboriginal people. It also increases participants' understanding of the factors impacting on Aboriginal health and service delivery. Accredited course units include:

• Work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (HLTHIR404B)
• Work with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients (HLTAHW201A).
