Vocational graduate diploma of relationship counselling (CHC80208)

 

Overview

Target audience: Indigenous counsellors who wish to develop advanced skills in relationship counselling.

Course summary: This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to work with couples and their children. It includes training in how to help clients learn relationship skills, such as communication skills and strategies for stress relief.

This course is particularly suitable for experienced Indigenous counsellors who wish to advance their learning. Where relevant, course content has been contextualised to give participants a broad range of skills and knowledge that is directly applicable to working with Indigenous clients.

Due to the construction of this course, graduates are eligible to also receive the allied qualification, Vocational graduate diploma of family dispute resolution (CHC80308).

Delivery mode: On site

Financial support for Indigenous students: Indigenous participants are eligible to receive ABSTUDY benefits for the duration of this course. These benefits may include funds for accommodation, meals and travel to Townsville, as well as an income-dependent fortnightly allowance.
