Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia is a community-controlled Indigenous health service in Adelaide. The People Development Unit at Nunkuwarrin Yunti provides education, training and support to health workers in the field of social and emotional wellbeing.
This particular training opportunity is intended for workers who currently hold a Certificate III in the area of Aboriginal primary health care or equivalent, or who have some basic skills and knowledge in assessment and treatment of social and emotional wellbeing and health problems for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.

This training is made up of 14 units of competency (including five elective units in one of the above areas of specialisation). For detailed unit information, see the links below. This course runs over one year with training occurring in a combination of one and two week study blocks for a total of eight weeks.
