Overview

Target audience: health professionals who undertake the IAIM training program as an extension to their existing qualifications, and anyone suitable who is interested in supporting the relationship between parents and babies.

Course summary: This course provides participants with the skills to become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI). Some course content includes:

• history of IAIM and infant massage
• the scope and role of the CIMI
• infant cues, crying and behavioural states
• elements of infant massage education that contribute to the development of healthy and secure relationships between parents and infants
• promoting sensitive and responsive parent-infant interactions
