Overview

Target audience: Undergraduate students enrolled in health related courses, postgraduate students completing aged care, dementia care, or mental health subjects, or health care staff working in aged care

Course summary: This course provides participants with information on the core issues of dementia. The course focuses on the following six content areas:

• what is dementia?
• recognising dementia
• communication in dementia care
• care partnerships with families across dementia care settings
• younger onset dementia (YOD)
• dementia within culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
