Overview

Target audience: Workers in the community services and health sectors working in the areas of disability, youth work, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men's and women's health, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities

Course summary: This course provides participants with opportunities to explore their own attitudes towards sexual health and relationships education so that they will be better placed to support their clients to make sense of their sexual world. Course topics may include:

• sexuality and sexual health
• sex and the law
• gender and power
• sexual diversity
• anatomy and physiology
• contraception
• pregnancy options
• sexual violence
• sexual pleasure
• safer sex
• sexually transmitted infections
• providing sexual health information to clients.
