Target audience: Anyone working in smoking cessation

Course summary: This course provides participants with the skills to to assist patients to comply with the WA health system policy by preventing and managing nicotine withdrawal symptoms and to offer brief interventions to help patients consider quitting smoking. Course modules include:

• tobacco smoking in Australia
• smoke free WA health system policy
• interventions and motivational interviewing
• brief interventions using the 5 A's
