Overview

This diploma covers a variety of areas within the alcohol and other drugs field including skills development to work with individual clients with complex alcohol and other drug use problems using advanced interventions. It provides learning in areas including:

• the design and implementation of behaviour response plans;
• relapse prevention strategies; and
  
• communication skills to build relationships - incorporating service provision to people with mental health issues.
  

A prerequisite for this course is Certificate IV in the same or a related area. Sufficient relevant work experience or current employment in the area will also be considered.
