Certificate 1 in Health (Aboriginal Communities)

 

Overview

This course is designed specifically for Aboriginal people and will provide students with practical skills and knowledge in the fundamental health principles and health care requirements needed to work in a community setting. Subjects include: health, healthy foods, smart shopping, first aid, community values and cooking. A supervised work placement will be undertaken as part of the course where students will be able to apply the skills and knowledge they have learned.

Successful completion of this qualification will provide the student with the opportunity to become a health care worker in Aboriginal communities.
