This diploma has been developed as a bridging course for people who want to enter the nursing profession but who lack the educational qualifications to do so. The diploma seeks to ease the transition into nursing by providing students with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and study skills. The course takes 18 months to complete and includes 21 compulsory units and five elective units. To be eligible for this course, students must be of Aboriginal descent, aged 17 years or older, and have basic reading, writing, and maths skills.
