This course allows students to enhance their knowledge and skills relating to traditional and bush medicines. This qualification will enable students to prepare traditional medicines for their own communities. This certificate is comprised of 10 compulsory units and covers topics such as: harvesting and identifying bush and western herbal medicine plants in WA; preparing bush and western herbal medicines for used by individuals; and developing aromatherapy products. Students wanting to apply for this certificate must be of Aboriginal descent, aged 17 years or older, and have basic reading, writing, and maths skills.
