This course is aimed at workers who, in a team environment and under the supervision and guidance of others, provide health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This certificate includes 13 compulsory units and one elective unit. The units cover a range of health and workplace topics, such as undertaking basic health assessments, applying first aid, and processing and maintaining workplace information. Students applying for this course must be of Aboriginal descent, aged 17 years or older, and have basic reading, writing, and maths skills.
