Successful completion of this certificate qualifies students to work as registered Aboriginal Health Workers. The course focuses on primary health care and covers a comprehensive range of topics including: anatomy and physiology; common illnesses and early intervention pharmacy; nutrition; health education and health promotion; advocacy, counselling, and interpreting health care for men, women, and children; administration; and research. The course runs for 12-18 months and is comprised of workshops, assignments, classroom, and clinic placements.
