This qualification is for workers who have skills and knowledge in primary health care practice and who undertake clinical, managerial, or educational roles. Entry into this diploma requires demonstrated competence in the compulsory units of Certificate IV Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice. Examples of some of the units covered in the diploma include: secure funding; assess and respond to individuals at risk of self harm or suicide; and provide interventions to meet needs of consumers with mental health and AOD issues.
