The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Community Care)is a two year training program. This qualification covers workers who provide a range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients, including specific health care programs. Equipped with the skills learnt enables graduates to assess and treatment a wide range of presenting health problems for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.
During this period they will be attending workshops at Batchelor Institute and must participate in a work placement where they will work under supervision of a Registered Health Professional.
