Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Community Care)

Overview

The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Community Care) is a two year training program. This qualification covers workers who provide a range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients, including specific health care programs. Being equipped with these skills enables graduates to assess and treat a wide range of presenting health problems for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.

During training students attend workshops at Batchelor Institute and participate in a work placement where they work under the supervision of a Registered Health Professional.
