Overview

The theme of this event is Global perspectives. The theme will encourage interaction with an outstanding international and Australian faculty. The program will cover will cover contemporary and controversial issues such as robotic surgery, implants, balloons, endoscopic skull-base surgery, aboriginal ear disease, multi-level sleep surgery and surgical governance. The four satellite meetings will be on Aboriginal ear disease, robotic head and neck surgery, balloons in OHNS and a temporal bone workshop on implantable devices.

8:00am - 5:30pm
Ear disease in Aboriginal and Torres Straight islanders: A multi-disciplinary symposium
Venue: Adelaide Convention Centre

Outline:

• ENT-surgeons, nurses, audiologists, GPs, politicians, health-care workers and administrators will all convene to discuss the current management dilemmas affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients with ear disease.
• Leaders in all fields will be presenting their experiences and plans to improve services to remote areas.
• Clinical techniques and management algorithms will be an important part of the symposium. This is a not-to-be-missed satellite meeting with many key-note speakers and panel discussions.
