Overview

The theme of the event is Dementia: managing not to forget. It will bring together leading researchers, Geriatricians, Advanced Trainee Registrars in geriatric medicine and Psychogeriatricians, with General Practitioners, Specialist Dementia Nurses and allied health staff are also invited to attend.The theme encompasses the journey of a dementia patient from prevention, early symptoms and diagnosis, current and emerging treatments, to managing advanced disease.

Keynote speaker:

• Professor Peter Passmore - Professor of Ageing and Geriatric Medicine at Queen's University, Belfast, is a leading researcher in Alzheimer's Disease and Vascular Dementia. He will update delegates on several 'hot' topics in dementia management including the interface between vascular risk factors, mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

Abstract submissions due Monday 23 January 2012.

Early bird registration deadline is Friday 9 March 2012.
