Cross-cultural practice training (The Lyndon Community)

Overview

Through didactic and experiential exercises, workshop participants will examine their own cultural identity and assumptions and learn how to work effectively with people of different racial backgrounds, cultural traditions, gender identities and sexual orientations.

The 'melting-pot', 'colour blindness', 'political correctness' and other myths that serve to prevent real connection in the therapeutic process will be explored with safety and humour.
