Western Australia dog health program training

Overview

The Environmental Health Directorate, WA Department of Health, are hosting a two day dog health program training course in Halls Creek, Western Australia.

Successful completion of the training allows for participation in the dog health programs, and is also an opportunity for those who have previously completed the course to review aspects of the training module.

On day 1 trainees will be presented with the theory component for the dog health program.

Day 2 will include a field trip where trainees will each have the opportunity to treat dogs in an Indigenous community setting and apply each of the skills taught in the program. The second day's field trip will also include travel to the Shire of Halls Creek Dog Pound.
