World Indigenous Peoples conference on education (WiPC:E)

Overview

Inspiring, informative, and provocative, WIPC:E is the largest venue for Indigenous education in the world. Since its inception, this conference has attracted highly regarded experts in indigenous education. The 2014 conference in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi promises to attract educators from all over the world to discuss contemporary movements in education that support our unique indigenous worldviews.

The formal theme, E Mau Ana Ka Moʻolelo: our narratives endure, is an edict to us that we commit to perpetuating our cultures through the transmission of our rituals and the stories that came from our breath. It will invoke the stories of ancestors to guide, commit, challenge, and incite us, as we will do the same to the generations who come after us. We invite you to come and share breath with us. We invite you to come share your stories with us.
